Shirley Lane

Mrs. Shirley Sue Lane, 75, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Lane was born in Corning, AR., on May 11, 1940. She was a retired cook from Stateline Restaurant. She enjoy watching sports especially football. She was Pentecostal in faith.

She married her husband of 43 years Mr. Wesley Lane on July 28, 1958, he preceded her in death on June 28, 2002.

She is survived by one son Bryan Lane of Corning, AR.; seven daughters Cindy and husband Stanley Spence of Corning, AR., Barbara Lane of Corning, AR., Arlene Lane of Corning, AR., Donna Lane of Corning, AR., Brenda Yandell of Corning, AR., Angela Lane of Wappapello, MO., Jamie and husband Michael Dowdy of Corning, AR.; two brothers Leroy Thomas of Pocahontas, AR., Wayne Thomas of Horseshoe Bend, AR.; one sister Peggy Miller of Corning, AR.; twenty three grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and three step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Golden and Clara bell (Brewer) Thomas; two brothers Ralph Thomas, Marvin Thomas; two sisters Darlene Edwards, Mary Alice Kellett and one grandchild April Yandell.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Dobbins officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
