Shirley Mcfarlin

Shirley McFarlin, 85 of Corning passed away February 28, 2022 at home.

Mrs. McFarlin was born June 29, 1936 in Nutbush, TN. She was a homemaker and Avon representative. She loved to paint, go bowling and spend time with grandchildren and family. Shirley was a member of Red Hat Society and Grassylead Church of Christ in Corning.

On March 31, 1957, she married Sidney Earl McFarlin. They were married 60 years prior to his death on November 14, 2017.

Survivors include her daughter Tonya (Bryan) Johnson of Pocahontas; grandson Carson Cole Johnson; great grandchildren Jaxon, Coraline and Calliope Johnson; daughter-in-law Mackenzie Johnson; brothers-in-law Larry Gardner of Soginaw, TN, Larry (Shelia) Darr of Jonesboro and Leonard Darr of Mountain Home; sisters-in-law Norma White of Corning, Dorothy Collier of St. Louis, MO and Mary Pelts of Mountain Home; special friends Gunel Storey and Sharon Long; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Toby McFarlin; parents Paul and Linnie (Ray) Green; brothers William and Floyd Green; and sisters Florence Walker, Gloria Johnson, Ann Gardner and Hattie Green; and grandson Justin Johnson.

Visitation will be Saturday 6-8 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will be Sunday at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Earl Ladyman officiating. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery.
