Shirley Phelan

Mrs. Shirley Phelan, 84, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at home. Mrs. Phelan was born in Corning, AR., on August 9, 1936. She was a retired Postal worker. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, music and sewing. She was a member of Rock Springs United Methodist Church in Knob.

She married her husband of 67 years Mr. Gene Phelan on May 19, 1953, he survives. Other survivors include her children Wesley Phelan of Bull Shoals, AR., Dr. David Phelan of Rogers, AR.; brother Darrell Robert of Salt Lake City, UT.; sister Sandra Pikey of Blackwell, MO.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Ada (Vines) Roberts; daughter Elizabeth Lucy, siblings Roland Roberts, Evelyn Johnson, Verdis Roberts, Mary Gaffney and Anita Licavoli; grandson Derek Lucy.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
