Sidney T. Hunt

Mr. Sidney T. Hunt, 93, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mr. Hunt was born in Plainview, AR. He retired from Harold Implement Company, He spent his life in faithful service to the Lord, he was former pastor of four churches, Reece Ridge, Moark Baptist, Knobel First Baptist, and Harmony Baptist. He was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and was a 32nd degree Mason.

He married his wife Beaulah (Williams) Hunt on August 3, 1935. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by six children Betty Gudinas of Murphysboro, IL., Imogene Miller of Corning, AR., William “Bill” Hunt and wife Sharon of Ft. Myers, FL., Melveta and husband Jerry Bode of Greer, SC., Sidney “Steve” Hunt, Jr. and wife Linda of Corning, AR., Peggy and husband David Taylor of Corning, AR.; 25 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Beaulah Hunt; parents William T. and Sarah (Roe) Hunt; two sons Charles E. hunt, John Perry Hunt; one brother Leroy Hunt; one sister Ruby Elmore; and four grandchildren Mitchell Hunt, Karen Sears, Jessica Miller, and Scott Hunt.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Sunny Williams officiating. Burial will follow the service in Corning Cemetery. public visitation will be Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
