Sue Williams, 77, of Poplar Bluff, MO., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, September 23, 2024 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Mrs. Williams was born June 4, 1947 in Manila, AR. She had many jobs throughout her life. She worked alongside her husband Odis for many years at the service station and went on to work at BestWay grocery store in Corning, eventually opening her own deli. Later she was a housekeeper and homemaker. Sue enjoyed crafts, fishing and cooking. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist faith.
On September 4, 1965, she married Odis Williams. They were married 52 years prior to his death on July 21, 2018.
Survivors include their children Odis (Tamatha) Williams, Jr. of Corning, AR., Susan (Stephen) Warner of Bella Vista, AR., and Nancy Williams of Poplar Bluff, MO.; brother Rick Camp of FL.; grandchildren P.J. (Amber), Ben (McKinlee) and Clint (Tayla) Williams, Meghan Miller, Lea, Kristopher and Daniel Warner, Angie Willie, Sarah Riddle, D.J. (Ali) and Sara Hill; great grandchildren Dallas, Hudson, Harper, Bailee, Wilder, Andee Mae, Alle, Andrew, Harmony, Camden, Avery, Cora, Sophia, Payton, Caitlin and Ethan; great great grandchild Lucy; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Beatrice (Brown) Camp; brothers Bob, Harvey, Jerry and Kenneth Camp; and sister Wanda Briley.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 at 9:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery.
