Sunnie Poyner

Mr. William Organ “Sunnie” Poyner, 88, of Jonesboro, AR., passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Poyner was born in Success, AR., on August 5, 1930. He was retired from Civil Service and Bus Driving. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of Nettleton Church of Christ.

He is survived by one son William Dennis Poyner of Orlando, FL.; three daughters Linda Scholl of West Palm Beach, FL., Brenda Harmon of Paragould, AR., Ruth Walton of Rothbury, MI.; one sister Judy Poyner of Memphis, TN.; twenty grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Johnny Webster and Nora Marie (Collins) Poyner; one son Michael Brent Poyner and one daughter Gwenda Abbott.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Marvin Rickett officiating. Burial will follow the services at Williams Cemetery in Corning, AR., with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
