Mrs. Susane Jane (VanNada) Lucas, 62, of Reyno, AR., passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Five Rivers Medical Center on Pocahontas, AR. Mrs. Lucas was born in Corning, AR., on January 9, 1953. She was a retired R.N. having worked many years for Corning Nursing Home. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Reyno, AR.
She married her husband of forty-one years Johnny Ray Lucas on August 3, 1973. He survives. Other survivors include four children Shawn and husband Cassie Hall of Corning, AR., Jennifer Lucas of Mountain Home, AR., Mark Lucas and wife Crystal of Reyno, AR., Colby Lucas of Reyno, AR.; three brothers Jerry VanNada of Corning, AR., George VanNada, Jr. of Corning, AR., Wade VanNada of Marmarduke, AR.; one sister Diane Shepard of Neelyville, MO.; six grandchildren Paul Rainwater, Jordan Rainwater, Carson Rainwater, Presley Hall, Landon Lucas, Lane Lucas and one great-granchild Tyson Rainwater.
She was preceded in death by her parents George Richard, Sr., and Leola Lafern (Rapert) VanNada; one sister Sandy Walker and one brother Gerald "Bunky" VanNada.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Roger Hovis officiating. Family and friends will gather at 12:30 PM for a time of visitation.
