Mr. Thomas Moore, 91, of Sedalia, MO., passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at home. Mr. Moore was born in Peach Orchard, AR., on December 16, 1923. He was retired school teacher and superintendent. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy.
He married his wife Mary (Moler) Moore on October 9, 1948. She preceded him in death.
He is survived by two children Frances and husband Lynn Shafer of Sedalia, MO., James L. Moore and wife Thea of Independence, MO.; two sisters Maudie Sullinger of O’Kean, AR., Lula Meier of Old Monroe, MO.; five grandchildren Michelle (Shafer) and husband Dan Marine, Amy (Shafer) and husband Mark Wilkerson, Jennifer (Moore) and husband Bobby Jeffers, Nicole Moore, Colt Moore; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents James and Janie (Turner) Moore; two sisters Martha Bost, Serena Rogers; two brothers William Moore and Robert Moore.
A celebration of life will be conducted Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 4:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
