Mr. Tony Yarbrough, 87, of Corning, AR., passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at his granddaughter's home in Corning. Mr. Yarbrough was born in Cadet, MO., on February 17, 1924. He was a retired truck driver and master diesel mechanic. He was a member of the Corning Church of Christ.
He married his wife Oliva (Upshaw) Yarbrough on June 9, 1945. She survives. Other survivors include one daughter Vickie and husband Gene Emery of Paragould, AR.; two sisters Thelma Coleman of Saint Louis, MO., Stella Harness of Desoto, MO.; four grandchildren; Ten great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Bessie (Reado) Yarbrough; son Jim Yarbrough; four brothers Lewis, Floyd, Herbert and Jacob Yarbrough.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be held Monday, November 14, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Memorial may be made to Paragould Children's Home.
