Mrs. Valerie Laughlin, 77, of Corning, AR. passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010 at home. Mrs. Laughlin was a retired assembly worker at Basler Electric Company.
She married her husband Joffrey “Joe” Laughlin on March 24, 1951 in Pocahontas, AR. He preceded her in death on September. 18, 1997.
She is survived by three daughters Debbie and husband Frankie Hewett of Corning, AR., Rita and husband Richard Catt of Knobel, AR., Renee and husband Donnie Autry of Maynard, AR.; two brothers Raymond Nash of Pocahontas, AR., Thurman Nash of Middlebrook, AR; seven sisters Letha Buckley of Carbondale, IL., Lorene Huffstetler of Paragould, AR., Delois Young of Pocahontas, AR., Pauline Buckley, Eathel Buckley, Minnie Barber, Janie Cresap all of Maynard, AR.; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Joffrey “Joe” Laughlin; parents David Crockett and Leonia Elizabeth (Tillie) Nash; daughter Carolyn Johnson; two brothers Frank Nash, William Nash and one sister Loretta Parnell.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Ligie Waddell officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hitt Cemetery in Success, AR. Public visitation will be Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
