Mrs. Velma Irene Tyler, 77, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, April 8, 2013 at home. Mrs. Tyler was born in Bono, AR on June 28, 1935. She was a housekeeper and homemaker. She enjoyed crafting, gardening, fishing, and yard sales. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corning, AR.
She married her husband of 54 years Reverend Bill Tyler on June 18, 1951. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2006.
She is survived by two sons Harry Tyler of Yukon, OK., Joe Tyler of Poplar Bluff, MO.; two brothers Richard Prince of Corning, AR., Jimmy Prince of Success, AR.; three sisters Pat Tutor of Corning, AR., Claudia Kohlbrecher of Mountain Home, AR., Sue Hines of Corning, AR.; seventeen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Johnny Dee and Mattie Lee (Pratt) Prince; her daughter Debbie Frederick; four brothers Jerry Prince, Sonny Prince, Gary Prince, Ralph Prince; two sisters Johnnie Cofield and Nina Jones.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Grist officiating. Burial will follow the services at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, AR. Visitation will be Friday, April 12, 2013 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM.
