Mrs. Velma Lucille Williams, 91, of Corning, AR., passed away, Friday, July 22, 2016 surrounded by family in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Williams was born in Neelyville, MO., in December 16, 1924. She was a homemaker; who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved Gardening, listening to Gospel Music, and reading her Bible. She was a longtime member of the Moark Baptist Church.
She married her husband of 49 years Louie Williams on May 4, 1954. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2004.
She is survived by three daughters Brenda Whitman of Paragould, AR., Sharon Moore of Maynard, AR., Adena Bailey of Paragould, AR.; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents John W. and Ada Bell (Warren) White; one son, Bill Duff; four brothers, Raymond White, J.H. White, Melvin White, Marvin White; and two sisters, Ida Burnett and Betty Stephens.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 25, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Arnold officiating. Burial will follow the services at Williams Cemetery in Corning. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Williams Cemetery Association.
