Mrs. Vida Gwendolyn Hurst, 84, of Reyno, AR., passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at home. Mrs. Hurst was born in Corning, AR., on May 10, 1929. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Reyno.
She was married her husband Naaman Hurst on September 20, 1947. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1984.
She is survived by three sons Jimmy Hurst of Pocahontas, AR., Donny Hurst and wife Trina of Reyno, AR., Rodney Hurst and wife Leslie of Reyno, AR.; two daughters Freda and husband John McMullin of Poplar Bluff, MO., Rosie Hurst of Reyno, AR.; two brothers Earl Hagar and wife Fran of Pocahontas, AR., Merle Hagar and wife Lural of Saint Louis, MO.; one sister Rita Faye Waites of Watertown, TN.; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchlidren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Ruffus Floyd and Martha Louise (Perryman) Hagar; two sons Dale Hurst and a infant boy; two brothers Ciryl Hagar, Cleo Hagar; two sisters Eva March and Joyce Edington.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 1, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church in Reyno, AR., with Reverend Roger Hovis officiating. Burial will follow the services at Johnston Cemetery in Reyno. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 31, 2013 from 6:00 Until 8:00 PM at Ermert Funeral Home.
