Virginia Brumfield

Virginia K. Brumfield, 85, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at home with her family at her side. Mrs. Brumfield was born in Corning, AR., on April 19, 1939. She enjoyed sewing, baking cakes, reading and spending time with her family. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Corning.

She is survived by her daughter Mary (Jim) Woods of Corning, AR., grandchildren Jeremy Woods, and April Woods both of Corning, AR., and Shea Knowlton of Cape Cod, MA.; great-grandchildren Carliegh, Casilyn, Cruse, Eli and Ellie; and her sisters Wilma Bauschlicher and Dorothey Gerber both of Corning, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents William and Ethal (Gleghorn) Phelan; husband Frank Brumfield; son Rick Knowlton; sisters Helen, Hilda, Joann and Doris; brothers Billie, Bob, and Jack.

Family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
