Mrs. Virginia Lowery, 80, of Jonesboro died Sunday, February 28, 2010 at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR.
Mrs. Lowery was born on June 8, 1929 in Peach Orchard, AR. she was a beautician and a member of the Community Fellowship Church in Jonesboro, AR.
She was united in marriage to Johnnie Fowler, born of this union were two children Iva Lee Fowler (deceased) and Judy Ann McDonald of Moriarty, NM.
On August 31, 1962 she was united in marriage to Farrell Lowery in Little Rock. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2009.
Survivors include one daughter Judy Ann McDonald of Moriarty, NM.; four step-children Bob Lowery of Quincy, IL., Randy Lowery of Millington, TN., Connie Lowery of Arthur, IL and Linda Smith of Jonesboro, AR.; 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husbands Johnnie Fowler and Farrell Lowery; daughter Iva Lee Fowler; parents John and Margaret Gates; six brothers Elvis, Paul, Melvin Dago, Ira, Leroy, and Edward Gates; and one sister Iva Mason.
A memorial service will be held Thursday March 4, 2010 6:00 PM at Community Fellowship Church in Jonesboro, AR. with Pastor Burgess officiating. A visitation and meal for family and friends will begin at 4:30 PM at the Church.
