Mrs. Cynthia Virginia McRee, 94, of Waycross, GA., formerly of Peach Orchard, AR. passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross, GA. Mrs. McRee was born in RoEllen, TN., on May 3, 1917. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed sewing and crochet. She was a long time song leader at church, a member of the Brownie H.D. Club and the Peach Orchard Eastern Star. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Peach Orchard and a member of the First Baptist Church of Boulougne in Hillard, FL.
She was married to her husband William Thomas "WT" (Tom) McRee on March 3, 1933 in Fulton, KY. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1991.
She is survived by two sons Thomas Gary McRee of Green Cove Springs, FL., James Lynn McRee of Folkston, GA.; two daughters Marietta Austin of Peasch Orchard, AR., Deborah Kae McKenzie of Waycross, GA.; forteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents James Marshall and Mary Etta (Cavenar) McGraw; five brothers William Herbert McGraw, Avery Wilson McGraw, James Milan McGraw, Marshall McGraw, Robert Dewitt McGraw; three sisters Callie Mae Stephens, Emma Aileen King and Mary Wilma McGraw.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, October 31, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Doctor Terry Wallace officiating. Burial will follow the service in Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard. Public visitation will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Serving as palbearers will be grandsons Blaine Austin, Darrick Bridger, Christopher Ray, Sgt. Cale Hearring, Chad McRee, Connor Gott, Jamie McRee and Milan McRee.
