Vivian King

Mrs. Vivian Irlene (Blue) King, 93, went to be at home with the Lord, Monday, June 9, 2014 from the Rector Nursing and Rehab Center, Rector, AR. She was born July 12, 1920 in Ellsinore, MO., and was the daughter of the late Joseph Lee and Willie (Wood) Blue. She came Corning, AR., in the early 1930s with her family. As a teenager, she worked at the Oliver Department Store, Corning, AR. Later, she was a nurse at the Corning Hospital and at the Incarnate Word Hospital, St. Louis, MO. She retired from Corning Distribution, Corning, AR. Vivian was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Corning.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. "Bunny" King Sr., son Stanley Richard King, sisters Beatrice Mason, Violet Claybrook, Inez Cox, Wilma Beech, Linda Hammock, and brother "Sonny" Leroy Blue.

She is survived by her sons Daniel H. King and wife Nancy of Arlington, TN., William E. King Jr. and wife Kathy of Kingsport, TN., and Robert T. King of Ecuador, South America; grandchildren Rick King of Saint Louis, MO., Mark King and wife Kim of Horatio, AR., Douglas Alan King of Texarkana AR., Michelle and husband Bert Clark of Richmond, VA., Kelly Silberstein of Palmer TX., Kristi and husband Tommy Query of Colorado Springs, CO., Jeffery P. King and wife Kristi of Mandeville, LA., Elizabeth R. Hall of Knoxville, TN., Yvette and husband Judson Ashley of Midlothian, TX., Robbie King Jr. and wife Ricco of Los Angeles, CA.; 19 great-grandchildren; her sisters Joan McComy of Elgin, IL., Jean Denny of Dayton, TX., and Mable Elliot of Mayflower, AR.; in addition several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ann Ferris officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, June 13, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be her Grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Corning, AR.
