Wanda Crossfield

Mrs. Wanda Laverne (Cate) Crossfield, 85, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Crossfield was born in Hickoria, AR., on January 2, 1934. She was a substitute teacher and a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and shopping. She was a member of Hickoria Missionary Baptist Church.

She married her husband of 64 years Mr. John Clifford Crossfield on July 8, 1955. He survives, other survivors include six children Gale Crossfield of Paragould, AR., Greg Crossfield of Corning, AR., Carla Morrow of Piggott, AR., Paula Speer of Paragould, AR., Robbie Crossfield of Piggott, AR., Beth Edington of Corning, AR.; five siblings Cecil cate of Greenville, MO., Earl Cate of Ravenden, AR., Pauline Milburn of Corning, AR., Euvilla Bland of Paragould, AR., Carolyn Matheney of Rector, AR.; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Barnie Floyd and Ona A. (Wood) Cate; four siblings Arvil Cate, Leon Cate, Imogene Milburn, Linda Welty; two grandchildren Chasity Morrow and Logan Morrow.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Ernie Cate officiating. Burial will follow the services at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR. Visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
