Mr. Wilbern J. Jackson, 91, of Saint John, MO., passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at home. Mr. Jackson was born in Datto, AR., on April 9, 1921. He was a retired plant manager having worked many years for Acme Equipment Company. He was an avid outdoorsmen. He proudly served his country in the Pacific Theatre as a member of the United States Army during World War II. He was Past Master of the Euclid Masonic Lodge and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Saint John, MO.
He married his wife Rita Faye (Rapert) Jackson on August 11, 1942. She preceded him in death on April 11, 2009.
He is survived by by two sons Stephen James Jackson of Kansas City, MO., Troyce C. Jackson of Saint John, MO.; one daughter Sandra Lynn Scott of Boaz, KY.; one sister Hallie Phillips; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents Silas Nathan and Anna Elizabeth (Hays) Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sunny Williams officiating. Burial will follow the services in Richwoods Cemetery in Corning. Visitation will be held Friday, October 26, 2012 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
