Wilda Schimming

Mrs. Wilda Schimming, 90, of Jonesboro, AR., passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at NEA Baptist Memorial Healthcare in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs Schimming was born in Ravenden Springs, AR. She was a retired nursing assistant for Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking and spending time with family. She was a longtime member of the Stone Street Church of Christ in Jonesboro.

She married her husband Carl Richard Schimming on October 6, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1985.

She is survived by two sons Jerry Schimming of Rogers, AR., Roger Schimming and wife Brenda of Athens, AL.; one daughter Janet and husband Danny Burkheart of Corning, AR.; three brothers Everett Kellett of Rockford, IL, Ray Kellett and Myrl Kellett both of Pocahontas, AR.; five grandchildren Stefanee and husband Jason Hart of Jonesboro, AR., Heath Crider and wife Angie of Peach Orchard, AR., Christopher Feeny and wife Jennifer of Alma, AR., Matthew Feeny of Athens, AL., B.J. Cherry of Greenwood, AR.; nine great-grandchildren Bentley and Jaci Hart, Nate, Abigail, and Darian Crider, Tyler Joe and Maegen Cherry, Madison and Mason Feeny.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents Jasper and Nettie (Lauder)Kellett; three sisters Lois Stone, Ola Gates, and Glendora Kellett; one brother Willard Kellett; and one daughter-in-law Patricia Schimming.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Kellett and Carl Hollis officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pirtle Cemetery in Peach Orchard, AR. Public visitation will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
