Corning
Wiley Nixon, 86, of Corning, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. Nixon was born on December 25, 1936 in Knobel, AR. She had worked in a St. Louis area Factory. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of Purcell Church in Rector, AR.
On December 29, 1961, she married Alvin Kenneth Nixon, they recently celebrated their 61 st Anniversary. He survives, she is also survived by her sister Jo Etta Evers of Rector.
She was preceded in death by her parents Johnce and Carrie (Gatlin) Montgomery, nine sisters and three bothers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Bro. Jeff Miles officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, AR.
