William "Bill" Ainley

Mr. William J. "Bill" Ainley, 79, of Dunedin, FL., passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Morton Plant Hospital in Palm Harbor, FL. Mr. Ainley was born in Corning, AR., on June 11, 1933 to Manuel B. and Helen (Johnson) Ainley. He graduated from Corning High School and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

Following military service, Mr. Ainley attended Arkansas State University, and transfered to the University of Tennessee Medical School where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy. He was a member of the Rho Chi Honor Society.

Mr. Ainley married the former Lynne Estes also of Corning in 1959. They have owned and operated Highland Pharmacy in Clearwater, FL., for the past 23 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Clearwater.

Survivors include his wife Lynne as well as three children: Paul Ainley, William J. Ainley, Jr. and wife Andi, and Laura Ainley all of Florida. Also surviving are a brother Dr. Charles Ainley and wife Wyona of Paragould, AR. and a sister Edna and husband Charles Hopkins of Paris, TN., seven nieces and nephews, and three step-grandchildren.

Mr. Ainley was preceded in death by two sisters Maxine Fulghum and Reva Goggio; two nephews Lonnie and Craig Simpson of memphis, TN., and one brother Manuel B. Ainley of Corning, AR.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Corning Cemetery with Reverend Ann Ferris.
