William “Bill” Cavenar, 89, of Corning, went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2023 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
Mr. Cavenar was born December 5, 1933 in Corning. He was retired from Riceland. He proudly served in the US Army. Bill enjoyed fishing, reading his Bible and spending time with family and grandchildren. He attended First Freewill Baptist Church in Corning.
Survivors include his children Judy Laughlin of Corning, Tanya (Jim) Stark of Jonesboro, Larry (Neshia) Stacy of Paducah, KY, Peggy (Jack) McKinney of Naylor, MO and Mel (Amy) Jackson of Poplar Bluff, MO; sister Gay House of Farmington, MO; grandchildren Cody (Amber) and Logan Laughlin, Rodney and Brandon (Tara) Jones, Colton, Caden, and Cameron Jackson, great grandchildren Kayden, Raechelle, and Symphoney; daughter-in-law Lue Stacy of Corning; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wives Nadine and Jean; sons Billy Cavenar and Junior Stacy; parents Ambrose and Minnie (Kirby) Cavenar; and three siblings; Maxine Reed, Harold Cavenar, and Nadine Lane.
Visitation will be held Saturday October 7, 2023 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will be at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno.
