William Mccollum

William McCollum, 79, of Newark, AR., passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023 at home. Mr. McCollum was born March 25, 1944. He was retired from Vulcan Materials and a lifetime member of IOE Local 150 Operators Union. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

On April 29, 2006, he married Terry Drowns. They celebrated 17 years of marriage this past April.

Other survivors include his children Mike (Shelly) McCollum of Silver Lake, WI., Billy (Kelly) McCollum of Crystal Lake, IL., Jennifer (Patrick) Ciszek of West Columbia, SC., and Makell McCollum of of the home; step-children Lauran Haley of Hagerstown, MD., and Courtney Haley of Newport, AR.; brother Billy (Brenda) McCollum of Corning, AR.; sisters Roberta (Floyd) Braden of Walnut Ridge, AR., Geneva (Ed) Cobb of Greers Ferry, AR., and Shirley Leach of Corning, AR.; grandchildren Chase, Kyla, Jaden, Rylan, Aubriana, Jhordyn, Mya-Lynn, Callie, Charlee. Cameron and Hunter; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bertha Perrin and William McCollum; four brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery.
