William Dee Moore, Sr.

Mr. William Dee Moore, Sr. of Rector, AR., passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mr. Moore was born in Biggers, AR., on February 6, 1934. He was a service station owner and mechanic. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, he was a member of VFW Rapert-Poyner Post. He was of the Church of Christ Faith.
He married his wife of 61 years Mrs. Glenda Marie (Williams) Moore on August 12, 1955. She survives, other survivors include their four children W.D. Moore, Jr. of Jonesboro, AR., Linda Marie Barger of Ozark, MO., Walter Eugene Moore of Recto. AR., Barbara Ann Smith Rector, AR.; one sister Norma Glass of Lamar, MS.; six grandchildren Cassidy Moore Boyd of Rector, AR., Jared Barger of Oklahoma City, OK, Abbey Barger of Oklahoma City, OK., Courtney Smith of Troy, IL., Bridget Moore of Kennett, MO., Chelsea Mason of Hot Springs, MO.; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil Dee and Ardell (Harris) Moore, one sister Shirley Guthrie, two brothers Walter Moore and Randal Moore.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Alvin Leach officiating. A private family burial at a later date will be in Hite Cemetery in Biggers, AR.
