William Lee Tillie

Mr. William Lee Tillie, 86, of Datto, AR., passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Tillie was born in Reyno, AR., on April 16, 1927. He was a sawyer for Black’s Sawmill. He served the citizens of Datto as mayor from 1996 through 2006. He was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Datto, AR.

He is survived by four children Donald Tillie of Pocahontas, AR., Wayne Tillie of Corning, AR., Caril Haskins of Pocahontas, AR., Patricia Leann Hovis of Corning, AR.; one brother Cleatis Tilley of Datto, AR.; one sister Ann Jones of Reyno, AR.; five grandchildren Brandon Tillie of Pocahontas, AR., Jennifer Weiner of Springdale, AT., Amber Caskey Moffit of Ellsinore, MO., Stephanie Leonard of Corning, AR., Cheyenne Hovis of Corning, AR.; ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two wifes Bernice (Leach) Tillie and Mary Aline (Wood) Tillie; parents Beal and Zonia (Crutcher) Tilley; three brothers Clyde Tilley, Arlee Tilley, Dallas Tilley and sister Edith Kirby.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Mike Chadwick and John Knot officiating. Burial will follow the service at Richwoods Cemetery in Corning. Visitation will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 from 12:00 PM until the time of services.
