Wilma Hanner

Mrs. Wilma Pauline “Polly” Hanner, 87, of Poplar Bluff, MO., passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Westwood Hills Nursing Home in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Hanner was born in Knobel, AR., on May 5, 1928. She was retired from the shoe factory. During her life, she also picked cotton. She enjoyed embroidering, quilting, game shows, computer games, and banana bingo. She was a member of Green Forest Church of Christ in Poplar Bluff.

She married her husband of 68 years Galey Hanner on July 3, 1943. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2012.

She is survived by four children Norma Jean and husband Joe Calhoun of Jonesboro, AR., Donna and husband Rick Holden of Poplar Bluff, MO., Lonnie Hanner and wife Dawn of Poplar Bluff, MO., Pauletta and husband Dewayne Burns of Poplar Bluff, MO.; one brother Joe Arnold of Bowling Green, KY.; eleven grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband; her parents William Obe "Bill" and Lula Etta (Tinker) Arnold; two children Ronnie Gale Hanner, Carolyn Sue Luttrell; one grandson Brock Lutrell; two brothers Jack Arnold, Don Arnold; three sisters Kay Jarett, Wanda Barnett and Lucille Archer.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Adam Noles officiating. Burial will follow the services in Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR. Visitation will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
