Wilma Moore

Wilma Moore, 78, of Corning, AR., passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Arkansas Continued Care in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Moore was born in Corning, AR., on October 26, 1945 She was retired from Basler Electric. She enjoyed reading, camping and spending time with her family. She was a member of First Apostolic Church in Corning.

On September 4, 1964, she married Loyal Moore. They were married 59 years prior to his death on February 5, 2024.

Survivors include her children Conner (Laura) Moore of Lima, OH., and Angel (Freddie) Benham of Corning; AR.; brothers Bill (Ilene) Halcomb of Pascagoula, MS., Ed (Darlene) Halcomb of Biggers, AR., Randy Halcomb of Pocahontas, AR., and Bob (Janene) Halcomb of Jonesboro, AR.; sister Joyce (Glen) Counts of Corning, AR.; grandchildren Ryleigh and Emmery; and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Delmer Edward and Hazel Nell (Fincher) Halcomb; brothers Jack and Darrell Halcomb; sister Edna Larue Hurst; brother-in-law Thomas LaRue; and sister-in-law Doris Halcomb.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of the First Apostolic Church in Corning. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with Reverends Troy Johnson and Chris Dixon officiating. Burial will be at Hitt Cemetery in Success, AR.
