Winnie Harper

Mrs. Winnie Harper, 95, of Sheridan, AR., formerly of Datto, AR., passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab in Sheridan, AR. Mrs. Harper was born in Gainesville, AR., on July 13, 1922. She was a retired postmaster. She was a member of Datto Missionary Baptist Church.

She married her husband of 52 years Mr. John Hamil Harper on August 2, 1942, in Paragould, AR. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1994.

She is survived by her grandson Chad Harper of Bauxite, AR.; great-granddaughter Reagann Elizabeth Harper of East End, AR.; and daughter-in-law Linda Harper of Sheridan, AR.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Gerald Harper; her parents Ballard E. and Ada (Barkley) Dodds; two brothers Carl Dodds and Lige Dodds.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno, AR., with Pastor Mike Chadwick officiating.
