Woodrow "Peck" Adams was born August 17, 1918 in Peach Orchard, Arkansas, the son of Harry Adams and Mattie Koster Adams. He was deceased on June 22, 2011 at the age of 92.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Knauts; two sisters, Essie Jackson and Edna Finley Burk and his parents.
Survivors are Mamie Adams of McDougal, Arkansas, mother of his children; two daughters, Carol Brown and husband Bobby of McDougal, Arkansas and Teresa Miller and husband Larry of Pollard, Arkansas; one son Kevin Adams and wife Teresa of Piggott, Arkansas; also another son, Jack Wayne Adams of California by his first marriage; nine grandchildren: Ryan Brown, Dana Gossett, Daniel Gossett, Jason Miller, Dustin Miller, Adam Miller, Cynthia Gossett, Kristen Crittenden and Tabitha McCrillis; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
As of his death, he was still actively self-employed in his life long occupation as a welder. Welding was his passion in life and he was well known for his capabilities in that profession.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the Service in the Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, Arkansas. Visitaion will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Active pallbearers will be Ryan Brown, Jason Miller, Dustin Miller, Adam Miller, Jeremy Brown and Jordan Brown. Honorary pallbearers include John Brawner, Donald Calhoun, Jay Finley, Rick Finley, Donald Grissom, Kenneth Grissom, Dorlis Micenhamer, Virgil Rice and Demar "Sonny" Rigdon.
