Mrs. Zelda Fay Hicks, 82, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday September 20, 2016 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Hicks was born in Piggott, AR., on December 9, 1933 the daughter of Jewell and Edith (Parrish) Robinson. She was a retired dental assistant and of the Baptist faith.
She married her husband of 42 years Mr. Doyle Hicks on August 15, 1974. He survives, other survivors include two children Elizabeth Carter of Corning, AR., and Bobby Hicks and wife Mary of Paragould, AR.; four grandchildren Bryan Baker and wife Kendall, Brandy Baker, Christine Hicks, Winter Hicks; three great-grandchildren Jayden Chilton, Nathan, Simon, Oliver Baker; a niece Rhonda Phillips of Piggott, AR., and a nephew Jay Lynn Rigdon of Corning, AR.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Steve Welty; one sister Janice Rigdon and a nephew Ronnie Rigdon.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Lavern Reed officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
